OUR HOMES
Nurtured Care Services offers a safe, structured, and nurturing care experience for young people, treating them with consistency, fairness, and respect. By providing flexible routines and procedures, we ensure each young person’s needs are met through a holistic approach. Our environment mirrors a stable family setting, encouraging participation in daily tasks and the development of semi-independent living skills. We use an incentive-based structure to praise positive achievements and help them reach their full potential.

Nurtured Care Services fills critical gaps in the health and social care sector. We provide bespoke care for young people with complex behaviours. Our team, including a full-time nurse and experienced managers, offers tailored support, specialising in interventions to prevent hospital admissions and manage young people with mental health concerns or subject to a DoLs order. Each care program is designed to foster development through a range of activities in a positive, safe environment.

Liam
CEO

David brings over 37 years of extensive experience in the UK’s local authority children’s services and care sector, making him a highly skilled and knowledgeable leader in the field of residential care and supported accommodation. Originally from the USA and holding an undergraduate degree in psychology, David relocated to the UK in 1988 and qualified as a social worker in 1990 at Nottingham University. Throughout his distinguished career, David has held a variety of critical roles, beginning as a residential care worker in children’s homes, progressing into safeguarding, looked-after children services, and mainstream social work. His leadership experience culminated as the Lead Commissioner for Children’s Services, where he oversaw safeguarding operations, social work teams, and residential services. He was also responsible for ensuring the provision of safe and high-quality care by commissioning services from the private sector for local authorities. David’s deep understanding of the needs of vulnerable children and his leadership in service provision position him as a strong advocate for ensuring the highest standards in residential children’s placements and supported accommodation. His vast experience makes him an invaluable resource for local authorities seeking trusted, safe, and effective care solutions across the UK.

Training
My Master’s degree in Family and Child Psychology achieved in the University of Chester has helped me not only shape the values and zest for making a change, it has helped me by equipping me with invaluable, irreplaceable knowledge of how children development is affected throughout the early years. My experience of working in a scientific journal focused on children with SEND has contributed to my understanding of what are the main requirements for the staff to successfully care for children. I believe that we are never too old to learn, develop and improve – as long as we are willing to make positive changes.
